Golden Globe Awards 2024: Payal Kapadia has once again given an opportunity to make the country proud. In fact, his film ‘All We Imagine as Light’ has received two nominations at the Golden Globe this year. One nomination is for Best Director, and the other is for Best Motion Picture in Non-English.

Chhaya Kadam, one of the lead actors of the film, is extremely proud of Payal and feels that her hard work has paid off. Speaking to ETimes, Chhaya Kadam said, “I am very happy with the nomination, but even more happy for Payal. I think she is the first Indian director to be nominated for the Golden Globe. His hard work of so many years is yielding good results. Also, this is not just for Payal, but a victory for Indian cinema and a proud moment for Indians.

It is noteworthy that Chhaya is also a part of ‘Missing Ladies’, which has been nominated for Oscar from India. When asked if she thought ‘All That We Imagine as Light’ should have been nominated from India, Chhaya agreed, but said, “I would have been happy if it had been nominated from India, But for me personally, both are my children and I cannot differentiate between the two and I am happy with what both the films have achieved.
